REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings Learn about 'Green Gentrification'Cities and towns need to plan for climate change. How can your city or town make its climate action plans equitable and socially just?
Walter Daniels 5/24/2024 3:01 PMThey can make the plans equitable by checking with the local small communities of the areas they are working on, and seeing what they want. Also doing this without emitting pollution is a good thing. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Education Research Barriers to Participation and RepresentationWhat are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?
Walter Daniels 5/20/2024 2:50 PMA lot of barriers exist in the community surrounding women. One of them is the pressure put on them from an early age in some cultures. They are pressured into starting a family at an early age. These barriers exist because of the standards set in the past and we can address them by making sure our women in our communities feel safe.

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Education Learn about the Need for Family PlanningWhat did you learn about the need for family planning? How do the needs of different people in different places compare to each other?
Walter Daniels 5/19/2024 8:08 PMI learned that there is a need for family planning. It is important because families can plan things for them to help set up a good safe future for themselves and their families. The needs of people in different places vary. In low income countries, they need to keep people safe with doctors and making sure no one is trying to have kids when they are not ready for it. In high income countries people emit lots of carbon so that needs to be planned around.

REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Research PeatlandsMuch of Indonesia's peatlands have been drained so they could be replaced with palm oil or pulp and paper plantations. How can you make choices that help to protect peatlands, even if you live far away from one?
Walter Daniels 5/03/2024 10:42 AMI can stop degrading activities such as agricultural conversion and drainage. I can also Study the emissions by state and report emissions. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustry Research the Climate Impact of RefrigerantsWhat did you learn about the climate impact of refrigerants? How do supermarkets contribute to this impact?
Walter Daniels 5/02/2024 9:32 AM
I learned that they can contribute a lot to global warming if they fail to be dealt with. It can affect it so much that it is even more than carbon dioxide. Supermarkets do not do much to stop this they just want to sell as many products as they can.
