In richer countries, people are able to eat more things that they enjoy such as meat. Eating more meat affects our bodies by raising our cholesterol and leading to many deadly diseases. It also negatively affects the planet by leading to deforestation and destruction of soil and grasslands.

My mom is very passionate about protecting the environment and maintaining healthy habits. She tells me about the benefits of idolizing these habits and protecting our atmosphere. With that said I have the knowledge to purpose this idea to other people and spread the word about ways that we can use natural resources to produce energy. This...

These refrigerants contain chemicals that, once released into the atmosphere, break down the ozone...

I learned that refrigerants such as CFCs are released into the atmosphere, they break down the ozone layer, which protects Earth from UV rays. The Montreal Protocol Agreement in 1987 banned the use of CFCs. These chemicals were most often used when storing food in supermarkets, which was a major contributor to the issue.

Articles I've read and the news story have helped me get a better idea of how we need to find a better way to make energy like through wind. I've talked to my family members about this and they said that we need to start turning off the extra light to not use as much energy.

I can help peatlands by stopping degrading activities such as agricultural conversion and drainage. We can also restore the waterlogged conditions required for peat formation.

My Drawdown ecochallenge is going well, I thought it would not be easy but it is.
