    Land Sinks Research Peatlands
Much of Indonesia's peatlands have been drained so they could be replaced with palm oil or pulp and paper plantations. How can you make choices that help to protect peatlands, even if you live far away from one?

Stop supporting the products that come from the peatlands and instead buy things that have been derived from safe agricultural practices.

Industry Research the Climate Impact of Refrigerants
What did you learn about the climate impact of refrigerants? How do supermarkets contribute to this impact?

It was discovered that a single supermarket releases 875 pounds (400 kilograms) of HFCs annually on average, which is the same amount of carbon emissions as 300 cars. It was determined that supermarket HFC leaks in the United States alone are equivalent to burning 22 million tonnes of coal in terms of global warming.

After you determined your carbon footprint, did you see what different choices you can make in order to reduce it?

    August Boachie 4/26/2024 7:37 AM
Yes, I need to begin turning off the lights when I leave my room and drying my clothes outside to prevent the dryer from running too much electricity. I will think about the environment and ways I can lower my carbon footprint.

If you know and understand all the terms it will make you a better consumer and a healthier person overall. If you don't fall for the tricks of these large corporations and factories the decisions you will make will forever impact your food choices and what you put in your body.
