    Tollan Hernandez-Verde 5/07/2024 10:24 AM
Knowing about these labels helps us by making sure we don't throw out something just because of a date and causing less waste because of the knowledge we have about the labels
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Composting
Producing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?

    Tollan Hernandez-Verde's avatar
    Tollan Hernandez-Verde 5/07/2024 10:22 AM
What motivates me to make a change in my behavior is the amount of wasted food and how it takes so many resources to make that food. I will try and remind people about their food waste and think about my own too.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Sinks Research Peatlands
Much of Indonesia's peatlands have been drained so they could be replaced with palm oil or pulp and paper plantations. How can you make choices that help to protect peatlands, even if you live far away from one?
