    River Harlan 5/19/2024 7:50 PM
It was hard to change my diet to forest-friendly items but I did alright for a couple of meals. I struggled because I craved some items that I was missing.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Electricity Contact Fossil Fuel Companies

    River Harlan's avatar
    River Harlan 5/19/2024 7:47 PM
I learned that they did not respond well and turned me away. They were defensive and didn't answer me. I learned that fossil fuels are very bad for the environment.

I found out that Japan uses electric trains and that would be a good alternative in the US. I learned that riding the bus or carpooling would lower emissions.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Electricity Choose Renewable Energy or Purchase Renewable Energy Credits
Your utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your ZIP code, region, and/or state. What other steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?

    River Harlan 4/29/2024 12:07 PM
My energy usage is way above average. I only use the grid when we have a long rainy or cloudy period and we save energy for those times as well.
