REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?
Stefanny Garcia Jose 5/03/2024 9:03 AMRicher countries have the ability to buy meat with their money. Comparing to poorer countries that may not have enough to buy meat and the other ingredients to make a healthy meal. Poor countries rely on fast food chains to produce meals for them. Eating mostly meat adds lots of protein into our bodies but also kills many animals on the planet. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Eat MindfullyMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How does your eating experience differ when practicing mindfulness?
Stefanny Garcia Jose 5/02/2024 9:45 AMEating without distractions allowed me to actually enjoy the food that I was eating. Normally I'd be scrolling through social media on my phone or watching a movie that was recently added to Netflix but I forced myself to enjoy a meal without technology and had an open conversation with my mom about the food that we were enjoying. -
