I think what would really help is a better public transit system because I remember when Ms. Harris said that there was not a bus stop close to where she lived which caused her to bike to school. I thought that we had a good public transit system in Asheville but it's not perfect because we need more bus stops because where I lived the next bus stop is around 20 min away from where I live.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Transportation Go for a Daily Walk
What have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?

    Samuel Crow's avatar
    Samuel Crow 5/20/2024 5:30 AM
There are not a ton of good quality sidewalks and not enough walking trails near me.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

In North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for utilizing every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable, including the skins, tops, and stalks during your next meal prep?

    Samuel Crow's avatar
    Samuel Crow 5/14/2024 5:25 AM

  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Micro turbines can be placed on large structures to take advantage of stronger, steadier breezes. The Eiffel Tower now sports vertical axis turbines that produce electricity for use on site. Where could micro turbines potentially be installed in your city?
