Knowing the difference between these dates allows me to reduce my food waste. Knowing that these dates do not mean that the food has spoiled or will make me sick makes me more confident to consume food once the date has been past. I will use my discretion and knowledge provided by google when evaluating if I should eat food when it's marked as "expired".
