Wetlands provide diverse habitats for many animals. The wetlands contribute to a stable climate and clean watershed.

I have a high carbon footprint. Living in a metro area, I drive a lot. Living in an apartment, I don't have much choice in how the building is heated or maintained. I am an average American consumer. These choices impact other places with changing climate. I try to be responsible with my waste and like to imagine it goes where it "should" be going, i.e., not into the watershed or across the sea, but wherever it goes, it exists. While being responsible for my waste is important, being responsible for my consumption that creates waste is more impactful.
