    I will continue to work toward a sustainable community through Southern Tier Reduces, which aims to educate our neighbors about waste, implement reuse systems, and advocate for change at the policy level. Together, we can make a better world.

    Constant deforestation concerns me most about climate change -- not just the loss of biodiversity and carbon sinks, but the emissions from the machinery and the resulting livestock on these lands. Also, how it takes away land from indigenous people.

    Our system of fast food is unsustainable -- food is factory farmed on deforested land and then served up on single-use plastic. But we can change that by decreasing our spend at fast food places and demanding reusable options at restaurants.

    You can express your personality without buying new clothes by coming up with different combos of outfits with the clothes you already have. Thrifting is fun too. Also, accessorizing and hair are great ways to switch it up without buying new outfits.
