REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller PortionsWhile dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?
Lora Wilde 10/27/2024 5:57 PMOne big benefit is the affect it has is it helps us to save money by getting smaller portions of food when shopping as well as the great benefit it has on our digestive systems. I have noticed smaller portions makes me feel like I have more energy and not uncomfortable from accidentally eating too much. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Explore My AreaHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place -- your deep knowledge of and appreciation for your surroundings?
Lora Wilde 10/27/2024 5:49 PMSpending times outdoors helps me to enhance my sense of place and appreciation by having the ability to slow myself down for a little while and really focus on the natural ecosystem occurring right in front of me. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCoastal, Ocean, and Engineered Sinks Cook With SeaweedWhat recipe did you make and how did it turn out? Will you cook with seaweed again?
Lora Wilde 10/27/2024 5:42 PMI have never had sushi before so I attempted to make a California roll for the first time. I attempted to make homemade sushi from scratch but it did not turn out very well with my inexperience. The sushi was not wrapped tight enough and fell apart. This was my first time cooking with seaweed and will probably be the last.
