Recycle Everything I Can

Recycling; Recycled Metals; Recycled Plastics

Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will research and recycle all materials that are accepted by local haulers or drop stations in my community, including electronics and metals.

I learned more about the process of recycling and how to recycle properly. For our local recycling, we are supposed to wash out our recycling and dry it before putting it into the bin. I also learned that unfortunately a lot of what we recycle does not actually end up being recycled.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Coastal, Ocean, and Engineered Sinks Visit the Coast

I went to Fort Ord Dunes State Park Beach with a friend for a couple of hours and saw that the water was full of seaweed and algae. Also saw Dolphins, Brown Pelicans, an Otter, and plenty of other seabirds. There were few people there and a lot of wildlife. it was a nice change of pace from my usual days and seeing all the wildlife while sitting in the sun felt rejuvenating.

Many states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?

I grew up going to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and seeing the seafood watch program. It was interesting to learn more about it and use the app to ensure I'm not supporting fishing malpractices.

I went through a jar of parmesan and used the cap as a water basin for my plant pots. Caps of containers work quite well for catching water from my nursery pots so I will be looking out for any others I can use. I also used the glass containers from a Costco desert pack to hold some plant propagations.
