REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Learn More about SilvopastureHad you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?
Rebecca Snyder 4/30/2024 6:07 AMI had never heard of silvopasture. A major advantage is the shade provided to livestock. With global temperatures continuing to increase, adding trees to pastures or adding forage to wooded areas will be an important solution for improving the wellbeing of livestock. I was surprised and happy that one of the resources provided by Project Drawdown was an article on the Kerr Center's website. The Kerr Center is in Oklahoma and is one of the Zoo's partners in creating habitat for pollinators!
