REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustry Recycle Everything I CanHow could you incorporate other "Rs" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "Rs" make you feel?
Latanya Seltzer 10/17/2024 4:43 PMIncorporating other "Rs" into my lifestyle, such as reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, and repurpose, can have a significant impact on reducing waste and promoting sustainability. I can decrease my impact on the environment by using less single-use items, reusing whenever I can, rejecting unnecessary packaging or products, fixing instead of replacing, and finding new uses for old items.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Reduce Food WasteAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?
Latanya Seltzer 9/25/2024 11:06 PMThere are numerous more effective ways to use this money rather than squandering it on uneaten food. One option could be saving for a family trip, investing in children's education or extracurricular activities, supporting a local charity or community group, or saving for unexpected expenses. By paying closer attention to our food waste and finding ways to decrease it, we can allocate this money towards more significant and effective purposes.
