REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportationHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
Shannon Perrine 10/06/2025 12:29 PMBeing on my bike does allow for a better connection to my environment. Instead of being sheltered inside a car, I can feel the climate on my skin and am able to breathe fresh air. I find I enjoy my commute more when I ride my bike; not only does the physical exercise get endorphins flowing, but it also allows me to focus more on the world I am in, rather than being focused on driving and the other vehicles I am sharing the road with. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How does your eating experience differ when practicing mindfulness?
Shannon Perrine 10/06/2025 12:16 PMToday was the first day I sat down to breakfast without my phone or computer as entertainment. I ate eggs and toast with avocado and parmesan cheese, and sat in the living room by the window in the sunlight. It was very peaceful, and a good reminder to slow down and take time to focus on the present.
