Bottom trawling is a harmful practice of fishing that literally scrapes the bottom sea floor. Some of these fishing boats release any excess fish caught by the nets, or fish that were not intended for catch. However, there are other boats that do not release any of their catches to make a profit; this is practice is called “Annihilation trawling.”
