Did you know that composting your food scraps doesn't just keep waste out of landfills. When organic matter decomposes without oxygen in a landfill, it releases methane, a greenhouse gas roughly 25 times more potent than carbon dioxide. Composting converts these scraps into nutrient-rich fertilizer instead.

Really important reminder — composting is such a simple habit with a big environmental impact. Turning food scraps into something useful instead of methane-producing waste is a win for both the planet and the soil!

For those in Poland, here are the rules for recycling make up packaging. Interestingly mascaras and lipsticks go to the general waste.

Fun fact about waste: chewing gum takes 5 years to decompose, while a plastic bottle takes 500 years!

Did you know that recycling aluminum saves about 95% of the energy needed to produce it from raw materials? It really makes sense to recycle all those cans. :)
