REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?
Sophia Magness 3/09/2025 3:34 PMI believe that people in richer countries eat more meat, and have a more diverse diet, because of economic, cultural, and regional factors. Eating red meats may increase an individual's chances of developing heart disease, and other diseases, due to high amounts of saturated fat. Additionally, beef emitting more methane and carbon dioxide in production when compared to white meats.
