Kimari Love 3/18/2025 11:13 AMCFCs were used for refrigerators, freezers and compressed gas like cheez whiz and hair spray. Scientists learned that CFCs were destroying the stratospheric ozone layer so the substitute HCFCs was created and adopted.
HCFCs are 1000 to 9000 times more effective at trapping heat than CO2.
