    losing money is the most motivating factor for me to compost, I think it is also this way for many other people.

    aquaculture involves raising and harvesting sealife like fish, it produces over half of the worlds seafood.

    While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

    Not overfilling ourselves and having more food for the day after are some of the many benefits of using smaller portions, other than the environmental impacts.

    An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?

    we waste 124 billion dollars of money on food we waste every year, if we just bought less food or gave away the food we didn't eat we could potentially end hunger in the US, but instead we just throw it away.

    The materials needed to cool refrigerators and AC units effect global warming be destroying the ozone layer or producing extra warming greenhouse gasses. Supermarkets easily affect global warming due to the amount of refrigerators needed to keep things cool.

    Weather or not they are acually supporting a cause that is reducing the amount of carbon going into the atmosphere.

    Different people have different needs in life and different plans for the future, these things effect many things like when In life you could have a child.

    In my community, there are fewer barriers than there would be elsewhere in the world, but there are still things like people who would rather hire a guy for the job than a woman.
