Community fridges are a simple, powerful way to reduce food waste and support neighbors at the same time. Instead of letting extra food go unused, people, businesses, and organizations can share safe, fresh items with anyone who needs them. It’s a practical solution that turns surplus into support, helping both the environment and the community.
By giving food a second chance, community fridges help cut down on waste, lower the burden on landfills, and make good food more accessible. They also build a spirit of generosity and connection — because small acts of sharing can have a big impact.
If your community has a fridge, consider donating unopened, unexpired food. If it doesn’t, maybe it’s time to start one. Together, we can waste less and care more

Tofu is a nutritious, versatile food that can be a great addition to a balanced diet. Made from soybeans, it provides a high-quality plant-based protein while being naturally low in saturated fat and cholesterol-free, which makes it a heart-friendly option. Tofu also offers important nutrients like iron, calcium, and magnesium, depending on how it’s prepared. Because it absorbs flavors well, it can be used in a wide variety of dishes, from stir-fries and soups to salads and smoothies, making it an easy and flexible ingredient for everyday meals.
