  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health and Education
What are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?

    Henry James's avatar
    Henry James 4/30/2025 7:56 PM
Barriers in my community to women's equal participation include not having a lot of other women in science who can be role models or mentors. Women also often make less money and have more home responsibilities.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Electricity
What did you learn about wave and tidal energy? How do they compare to other energy sources?

    Henry James's avatar
    Henry James 4/30/2025 7:50 PM
I learned that tidal energy is most predictable compared to solar and wind because the wind isnt always blowing and the sun isn't always shining.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food, Agriculture, and Land Use
What was the most interesting thing to learn about sustainable aquaculture practices?

    Henry James's avatar
    Henry James 4/30/2025 7:44 PM
I found it interesting to learn that farming fish and fish breeding was aquaculture because it makes me think about land because of agriculture.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food, Agriculture, and Land Use
How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?

    Henry James's avatar
    Henry James 4/30/2025 7:13 PM
Eating more fruits and vegetables positively affects me by me being healthy and cutting out sugars plus it helps the plants because I am not killing an animal to get my food for the day.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food, Agriculture, and Land Use
While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

    Henry James's avatar
    Henry James 4/30/2025 7:04 PM
Another benefit of using smaller plates is reducing food waste by eating all of the food on a small plate rather than eating half of the food on a big plate.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Buildings
Why is taking action on climate change important to you? Why do you care?

    Henry James's avatar
    Henry James 4/30/2025 5:59 PM
Taking action on climate change is important to me because we have one earth and we need to keep it right for us and the next generation I feel the need to keep this planet in great condition so humans and all of the species can keep on thriving.
