I learned quite a lot in my time researching. To begin, cattle farming contributes 14.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions, mainly from methane from the cows (farts) , and drives deforestation, biodiversity loss, and high water consumption. Sustainable solutions include regenerative grazing to improve soil health. Furthermore, agroecology to integrate livestock and crops for nutrient cycling, and seaweed supplements to cut methane emissions by up to 80% ( less farts). Finally, localizing supply chains and reducing meat consumption can further help the environmental impact.
