  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Electricity
Geothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?

You can donate to organizations like Ormat Technology, which has built over 190 power plants to promote other energy resources. You can use time to research other energy resources for your home and other places.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Sinks
How difficult or easy was it to change your diet?

    Tucker Freeman's avatar
    Tucker Freeman 4/22/2025 11:47 AM
It was easy because my mom drinks coffee and I don't, so it doesn't worry me.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food, Agriculture, and Land Use
How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

    Tucker Freeman's avatar
    Tucker Freeman 4/21/2025 6:37 PM
It helps me by knowing if I should buy a certain item or wait for it to restock. Dates like Best Buy are not the best because they do not show when they should be thrown away or when they start to go bad.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health and Education
What did you learn about the need for family planning? How do the needs of different people in different places compare to each other?

    Tucker Freeman's avatar
    Tucker Freeman 4/21/2025 6:29 PM
I learned the importance of a caring couple and other things like a good education that help boost kids' futures. In some countries, it is hard to get a good education, so maybe for the better, moving to different places can make your/kids' future more promising.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health and Education
What are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?

    Tucker Freeman's avatar
    Tucker Freeman 4/21/2025 6:22 PM
Things like sports that women are limited to, which only men are allowed to play. Also, many abortion protests happen, which make women feel that they are limited to what they wanna do with their bodies.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Buildings
Cities and towns need to plan for climate change. How can your city or town make its climate action plans equitable and socially just?

    Tucker Freeman's avatar
    Tucker Freeman 4/21/2025 6:18 PM
Help lower-income areas: Lower-income areas suffer the worst effects, so if cities need a start, I would start there.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Sinks
Much of Indonesia's peatlands have been drained so they could be replaced with palm oil or pulp and paper plantations. How can you make choices that help to protect peatlands, even if you live far away from one?

    Tucker Freeman's avatar
    Tucker Freeman 4/21/2025 6:10 PM
You can avoid things like palm oil or donate to organizations that help these causes.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Sinks
How is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?

    Tucker Freeman's avatar
    Tucker Freeman 4/21/2025 6:07 PM
I drink coffee sometimes, which is bad because coffee causes some of the most deforestation next to palm oil.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Sinks
Had you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?

    Tucker Freeman's avatar
    Tucker Freeman 4/21/2025 6:01 PM
I think the biggest advantage is that it is very easy to manage and it is one of the best ways to take care of animals for the environment.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

    Tucker Freeman's avatar
    Tucker Freeman 4/21/2025 5:53 PM
Things like their efficacy over time or that they stay positive after purchase.
