From reading family planning articles, I learned that family planning does a lot more for women, children, and society than serving as an ethical method of population control. For instance, family planning services help save hundreds of lives and empowers women, which is crucial for achieving gender equality. Also, family planning services can bring about economic benefits and help reduce our carbon emissions. In developing countries or rural and low-income areas, the availability of family planning services is few and far between. Unfortunately, these areas are the ones that need access to family planning services the most, especially since women in these areas may not be properly educated about the need for family planning. So, getting resource access in these underdeveloped areas is crucial to achieving the full scope of benefits listed above.
