REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseHow does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?
Meghan Creighton 3/26/2025 3:36 PMEating more fruits and vegetables not only encourages the study and production of crops, it also fuels jobs for millions of workers, farmers, processors, and grocery store workers. Making this change will also benefit the body because you will be eating less junk and more food that is natural. The earth itself is benefited by this because fruits and veggies don't necessarily need to be packed in plastic containers resulting in less waste.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How does your eating experience differ when practicing mindfulness?
Meghan Creighton 3/23/2025 11:17 AMWhen you are eating without distractions, you're much more mindful about what you're eating, how much you're eating, and when you are satisfied. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?
Meghan Creighton 3/23/2025 11:16 AMMeat is one food group that generally costs more to produce, harvest, and transport. Meat consumption is higher in wealthier regions because this is a priority luxury that many can afford. Raising livestock for human consumption affects our planet very deeply, as excessive amounts of carbon and methane are produced by livestock. As we have learned humans today eat much more meat than our bodies require, leading to deficiencies from other food groups. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportationWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Meghan Creighton 3/13/2025 12:22 PMI have noticed a lot of construction work in my surrounding area. This improvement of infrastructure will allow others to utilize more time and space outside.
