List some of the places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?

Places that I frequented often during the month of April was school, hockey arenas, and the gym. I was able to integrate a carpooling system in each of these places in order to cut down on emissions.

For starters, whenever I had a hockey game at a given arena, me and my teammates would take tuns driving each other to the game which greatly helped reduce our emissions.

Next, I started carpooling with my friend whenever we would be going at the same time. This was the most challenging out of the locations I frequent as my friend would not always be working out at the same time, which in turn made it harder to carpool with him.

Lastly, for school, I looked at me and my friends schedules for classes to see which friends started at ended at the same time as me during the day. I alternated with different friends and drove in with them depending on the friend that matched my schedule.

How could better walking infrastructure make your city both more enjoyable and more equitable?

Improving walking infrastructure in Montreal can significantly enhance both enjoyment and equity. Enhanced sidewalks, pedestrian-friendly streets and better signage can make walking safer and more pleasant for everyone, regardless of age and ability. This promotes equity by providing equal access to transportation regardless of socioeconomic status or mobility constraints. Additionally, well-designed walking paths can encourage more people to choose walking over driving, reducing traffic congestion and air pollution, which disproportionally affects marginalized communities. Furthermore, investing in pedestrian infrastructure can revitalize neighbourhoods, boosting local economies and fostering a sense of community pride. Ultimately, by prioritizing walking infrastructure, Montreal can create a more inclusive, healthier and vibrant city for all its residents.

Expressing personality, creativity and values without relying on fast fashion involves adopting sustainable practices such as up cycling old garments, mixing and matching existing pieces, and accessorizing thoughtfully with high-quality items. Prioritizing quality over quantity allows for investment in timeless pieces from sustainable brands, reducing the need for frequent purchases. Participating in clothing swaps, rentals and engaging in DIY projects not only fosters individuality but also minimizes environmental impact by extending the lifespan of clothing items. Exploring unique grooming choices and hairstyle variations can further express one's personal style. Sharing experiences and knowledge about sustainable fashion on social platforms or in personal circles promotes awareness and encourages others to embrace mindful consumption habits. By making conscious choices, individuals can authentically express themselves while contributing to a more ethical and environmentally friendly fashion industry.
