  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Industry Go Paperless
What do you want to prioritize over material 'stuff' in your own life?

    Caitlin Buckley(102) 10/07/2024 11:59 AM
I want to prioritize my relationships with friends and actually spending time together rather then the mementos of our time spent together.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Reduce Food Waste
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?

I would rather use the money buying clothes or saving it for a new car, future plans or night out with my friends.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Transportation Go for a Daily Walk
What have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?

On my daily walk from north to main campus I noticed how about 90% of it very walkable except for the hill behind the business building. I have enjoyed the amount of trees that are on campus because of the shade they provide for most of the sidewalks.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller Portions
While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

By eating a smalller portion you can cut down on the food you are wasting as well as maintaining a healthy diet.

My next steps for saving energy will be not using my overhead dorm lights as well as unplugging any plugs when I am not using them to reduce the amount of energy I spend per day.
