REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricityMicro turbines can be placed on large structures to take advantage of stronger, steadier breezes. The Eiffel Tower now sports vertical axis turbines that produce electricity for use on site. Where could micro turbines potentially be installed in your city?
Kristen DellaVecchia 4/28/2026 6:47 AMMicro wind could be installed in a field outside of Corning to help power the city. Properties in Corning are too small for residential homes to get a micro wind turbine unfortunately. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustryHow close is the nearest climate-friendly supermarket to your home? How could you encourage local supermarket to reduce or phase out their use of HFC refrigerants?
Kristen DellaVecchia 4/27/2026 5:24 AMThe closest climate-friendly supermarket to me is about an hour away in Ithaca unfortunately. Wegmans however wasn't audited, so I am going to see what they use. If they are using HFC refrigerants, I will leave them feedback in their box and also send an email. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand SinksHow is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?
Kristen DellaVecchia 4/27/2026 5:23 AMPlanting trees is wonderful to my mental and spiritual health - being able to see a tree grow and wildlife use it helps me feel at one with the world and like I can make a positive difference
