    By serving smaller portions, you are able to see how much food is necessary to be  eatent one time, and you can stretch out that amount of food to last longer than a couple of days, which decreases the need to go out and buy more food, therefore using more resources and increasing carbon footprint

    Buying things in bulk instead of buying things with individual packing can make a big difference in terms of the amount of waste produced from a household. Switching to minimal packaging or reusable packaging has a huge impact on the environment. It can become easier if you plan ahead and buy fresh produce and do meal preparation.

    It's easy to pick up more food than you actually will end up eating but it is very simple to get more again and therefore waste less.

    People don't really need meat in every meal or even twice a day. if you plan ahead it becomes easier to eat meatless meals and will give you more energy in the long run.

    For some it could be religious reasons, or culture, but mainly its accessibility. They have enough money to purchase it so if they want an expensive meal it is possible. Some meats are high in a lot of fats especially saturated fat. Eating a lot of it can lead to higher health problems like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and high risk...

    Save the money for vacation! Or purchase things the family could do like movies or other family activities.
