I found out that if plant-rich diets were followed more often, it could save us 65.01–91.72 gigatons of CO2 emissions (Project Drawdown, 2021). I think the most interesting fact I learned was that by protecting an additional 335-466 million hectares of forest, forest protection could help avoid carbon dioxide emissions totaling 5.5-8.8 gigatons...

Yes, I think my diet choices fall within these guidelines. For example, in some places, you can't overfish because they won't breed fast enough. I can research how much fish is recommended for me to eat in my state, Florida.

Other benefits like not over-eating might come from eating/serving smaller portions. For example, if you have a smaller plate and you get a smaller portion, you're less likely to eat more than you can handle or is healthy. It also saves money because you're eating less.

It was nice doing some good things for the environment during this ecochallenge, and I would do it again! I think I've formed some good habits over this past month.

Yes. I found a whole section of bamboo chopsticks in the store, which means they are readily available in my community. However, there are products that haven't been made in bamboo that would really improve the environment.

Family planning is important because in the event of an emergency like a fire, families members need to know where to go or how to get to each other. The needs of different people in different places may be different. For example, in Chicago, someone might need a winter cap, while in Florida, someone might need air conditioning.
