February 21 at 8:25 AMPeople in richer countries can afford meat more easily than less financially privileged people. Raising animals for meat requires large amounts of land, also less available in poorer countries. Eating meat cause "rich people diseases" like heart disease. Raising livestock causes deforestation and methane production.
