A lot of people exclude women and overlook them even though they are doing just as much as men.

One of the barriers that exists to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community is finding good pay. I say this because men are paid much more for their work than women are paid for. This is because many people are sexist and don't care about women's rights.

Guiding Principle: "We are committed to disrupting the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, and especially “our” children to the degree that mothers, parents and children are comfortable."
I think that BUGS can be a community where we collectively support and care for one another and look out for each other as if we are family.

This guiding principle can show up in our school community when, for example, you are helping someone with their homework. I say this because when you help someone with something, you and that person become friendly with each other for a moment without even realizing it. This means then they are more likely to follow this principle because they are thankful and happy.

These principles should be used not just in school but also in our daily lives.  Someplace the principles can be found in school is the classroom, we should be respectful and let everyone learn.

We can show all people as equal and we should respect all people the same.  We should work together and not discriminate against  anyone.

Food, Agriculture, and Land Use We are all connected: Wangari Maathai
What did you learn about Maathai's work? How is her work connected to contemporary African diaspora and climate change? What is one connection between events in Africa and decisions made across the world in American?

I have learned that Wangari is trying to connect and make the world better by planting trees, which can help the economy, the planet and the people.

If we encourage this guiding principle enough and we show it to all the people in the school.

Loving Engagement can so in our school by supporting each other and making each other feel welcomed. Also by taking risks and participating a lot more.
