I think students and teachers alike in school should be able to tell each other their problems and then everyone could have empathy for one another and help eachother out.

The one thread that connects all of the 13 principles of BLM is that different groups of people in the past did not get their fair "shake" at being members in society. Society has not and still does not tree everyone fairly with the dignity that they deserve. For me one way to make these principles show up in our school on a regular basis is to remember to treat every individual person with the dignity and respect that we all deserve.

I think that we can use this principle: ¨We are committed to fostering a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking or, rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual unless s/he or they disclose otherwise." to make sure we don't use gay as an insult or we don't make fun of people who are not straight or people who don't Identify as the pronouns they were born with.

The reason the accomplishments of African Civilizations have been obscured is because the media describes Africa as a unorganized country with no culture, while in reality it is the exact opposite. we can sustain the accomplishments of the African culture by putting those accomplishments into more media.

Having these principles is a way to show everyone is welcomed to the community. No matter if its school, a neighborhood, or even a place to eat.

They can be obscured by the early thoughts of white slave owners, that African culture should be wiped.

I think that Levi chose to end his book with the story of carbon because he said we were all made out of carbon and we are all Stardust, which shows that he thinks we are all alike, not matter who we choose to discriminate.

    Electricity Carbon Footprint Calculator
What can you do to either lower your carbon footprint OR "offset your carbon footprint. When you "offset" you basically pay it forward---you do something kind for the environment or another person to balance out your carbon use if you can't reduce it.

I think I could reduce how much laundry my family does in the summer so that we could air dry clothes instead of putting them in the laundry.
