    Poor, elderly, and nonwhite people are disproportionally more likely to be killed as pedestrians in traffic. Creating more pedestrian friendly infrastructure means increased safety for everyone.

    I had not heard of silvopasture before! That said, pastures are more of a human-made landscape, so having trees and pasture together seems like a natural (and obvious) way to maximize space and better support both healthy livestock and healthy soil. Wildlife and forests will additionally benefit from restoring agricultural land.
