In Houston,m we have a business, Curb to Compost, that actually picks up your compost right at your front door! Stuff that I did not even know that you could compost! I even collect the food waste from my church, it all goes in the bucket. We have really cut back on our garbage : )

Checked out the map of groceries that do not use HFCs (HydroFluoroCarbons - a very potent greenhouse gas) in Houston, and only found one - the Whole Foods in North Heights. Disappointing, to say the least.

I got to run today for the first time in a long time. It felt so good to run in the park!

Certification of the offsets by a reputable organization. Reducing or sequestering emissions immediately, instead of over time, such that offsets are on the same time scale as the emissions.
