    I, too, have started using TruEarth laundry detergent.  I find it still cleans my clothes well, but without the bulky packaging.  Its small cardboard packaging is fully recyclable.  I've also been using balls made of lambs wool in my dryer instead of fabric softener or dryer sheets.  I put in 2 at a time and they last for a couple of months....
