    Yesterday, I testified at a special hearing for citizens of NC to express their views on Duke Energy's new Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) that painfully fails to address our climate crisis. Duke's IRP is so disappointing that approx 200 people signed up to testify forcing the NC Utilities Commission to cancel the initial (and only) hearing date...

    While our installation will most likely be in May, Bev and I made a deposit on new windows so I'm taking credit for that action now. :)

    After learning about my carbon footprint, I do see some choices that I can make to reduce it.  Firstly, I made a commitment to offsetting my carbon footprint by purchasing carbon credits for refrigerant removal.

    By improving soil health, it will help reduce erosion issues too.  Soil microbiome will improve, which will improve human microbiome and health.  We'll have improved biodiversity.  We'll have happier animals.

    Today I spent about 90 minutes moving wood chips to plant beds in our community, to help with erosion and to nurture the soil
