    Richer people eat more meat because they can afford it. Steak is very expensive especially quality steak. Go to a quality restaurant and their steak is anywhere from 35-50 dollars and can even be more than that.     Eating in smaller portions allows you to eat and be satisfied and not to overeat. Overeating causes you to take in more calories than you can burn causing you to gain weight. Also smaller portions ensure everyone gets some food to eat. We as Americans tend to eat more than we need and throw the excess out

    The more careful everyone is with their choices of food, products, appliances and waste, the better off our Earth is going to be in the long run. I know personally for me whenever I can I try to recycle, and reduce the amount of waste I put out, I also try to not buy as much or excess of things I will not need or use.

    Meat tends to be an expensive food choice/ product in grocery stores. Meat also takes time to prepare and cook. Not many people like to sit and cook something that takes time and effort to prepare. Many people in poorer places will withstand from buying meat and opt to buy cheaper, easier things to cook.
