Last week of the Challenge! I'm going to go through the actions I haven't performed yet and see which ones I can take on. The one I've enjoyed the most so far is finding new ways to eat local :)

Just completed my first challenge by donating to the CFC food baskets program for Montrealers in need! It's no coincidence though that it's the challenge that takes the least amount of time :o
Starting tomorrow I'll be be more deliberate in carving out time to tackle the challenges that require more attention!

As you learn more about the scope and seriousness of the environmental challenges we face, what impact does that have on your thinking and actions? What are the parts that feel overwhelming? What parts help you feel hopeful?

The more I learn about the scope of the climate crisis, the more I feel overwhelmed - there is so much to do, how could my actions have any impact whatsoever? - and anger towards those who dismiss or are apathetic to the problems at hand. I think I deal better with this crisis by focusing on the small, local actions I can take, that I know can have a positive impact. Hence, reading about possible solutions makes me feel hopeful; not only are these solutions proof that individuals can have an impact against these huge polluters (state and private companies), but they also inspire me to do more, by either applying these solutions in my life or to come up with my own solutions (even if these are specific to my situation and/or region).

Action Track: Justice for the Whole Community Give a Microloan
Globally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. Why do you think that is?

because women are typically responsible for family and community care so this kind of investment is ingrained  in who they are.
