  • Reflection Question
Electricity Generation Learn More About Geothermal Energy
Geothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?

I didn’t realize that Iceland gets over half of its energy from geothermal and it’s been in use in California since 1924. There is so much potential for clean energy there if closed loop systems are installed. New plants actually will have lower cost than coal or natural gas and it can be feasible for individual homes as well, but it’s a matter of up front investment.
