Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?

    Leslie Wharton 10/20/2019 4:04 AM
They eat more meat because it takes so much grain to raise a cow.  So the cow (or lamb or goat) consumes food for many more people than the cow can feed when it is slaughtered.  Too much meat can contribute to heart disease and other health problems.  Cows produce enormous amounts of methane which is a very potent GHG.
