I saw a cicada for the first time in years on my walk today. I was really excited because I remember watching them molt into adults when I was a kid.

I forgot to post on Friday but I did go out for my walk and noticed when you are searching for pollution is it easy to spot. I didn't walk more than 20 feet without seeing some piece of litter on the ground.

I noticed when I made my lunch today that I didn't use the entire piece of lettuce and I threw it away.

I really enjoyed watching a news clip on the Umoja Village in African. It shows how women can empower themselves and create a place that is good for them.

Sahara, thank you! I really like the eco-challenge and I find it encouraging when someone reads your posts and responds. There's a vice news clip on youtube that really encapsulates the Umoja tribe if you're interested.

    • Thank you for your post, Isabella! It prompted me to read an article about the Umoja Village. It was nice reading about a community of brave women who are empowering themselves and young girls. Also, thank you for being so supportive of fellow Ecochallengers!

I made a dish that needed cilantro and I realized that there was a lot of the cilantro I couldn't use and I had to throw it away.
