Being more aware of how much water I am using and if it is necessary.
  • Reflection Question
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?

Meat is expensive, so those in richer areas/countries are more likely to be able to afford than someone in a third-world country.
  • Reflection Question
Industry Learn about the impact of old refrigerants
Why are old refrigerant gases so harmful to our environment?

Older refrigerants have been largely phased out in more recent years, however, because of their harmful effects on the ozone layer and contribution to global warming. CFCs add harmful greenhouse gases to our environment.
  • Reflection Question
Electricity Watch a Video about Methane Digesters
What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

After watching a video on methane digesters, I think that more farmers should use methane digesters which turns cows' waste into electricity which is much more sustainable than what most farmers are doing. If more farms did this, this vision could become a reality.
  • Reflection Question
Health and Education Research Barriers to Participation and Representation
What are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?

Some barriers that I have noticed that exist in society for women's equal participation would be in certain academic paths; i.e. stem. I would like to see more female representation in this field.
  • Reflection Question
Health and Education Learn about the Need for Family Planning
What did you learn about the need for family planning? How do the needs of different people in different places compare to each other?

I learned that the need for family planning occurs more with those of lesser income, as they do not have the resources to do so.
