My next step for saving energy include keeping everything of when things aren't being used, washing clothes with cold water, using LED lights, and solar power devices.

How difficult or easy was it to change your diet?

Eating products that contribute towards deforestation has been something I've done all of my life. It is now that I'm older and in school that I started to realize and learn about this. Since eating certain food products has been something I've done since I was born, it was hard to change my eating habits. Most of the products that I used to consume had palm oil. But now that I know the bad outcomes from producing palm oil, I've been buying less food with that ingredient.

What did you learn about the need for family planning? How do the needs of different people in different places compare to each other?

Family planning is really important because it helps communities reach their economic and social goals. It is a means to contribute towards health, poverty, and the economy. Family planning does so by increasing education in the community, supporting partnerships, and saving the environment. It'd be accurate to say that people that are low in income, live in the city, and are underage would need more family planning services than those that are higher in income and older.

Many states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?

In Western New York, it is advised to not eat any fish caught in the area unless you're a man over the age of 15 and a woman over 50. If so you may then eat one meal per month. The type of fish that you may eat once a month include the white sucker, white perch, and lake trout. However, PCBs, Mirex, and Dioxin are chemicals that you should watch out for. I don't eat fish often, only once every other month so my diet choices fall within what is advised.

What are some more "R's" you could add to your daily practice to reduce your waste?

Some R's that I could add into my daily practices to reduce my wastes include reuse, reduce, and recycle. For example, when I drink a bottle of water I can use the same water bottle for as long as I possibly can. I can also instead of using paper towels or paper plates, I can use regular plates and cloth rags. That way all I'd need to do is wash them after every use and not throw them away and use new ones. Thirdly, instead of throwing everything away, I can find ways to use that trash for something else.

I've realized that on warmer days I can ride a bike to my destinations instead of a car, keep lights off when they're not being used, and adopt a vegan diet as well.
