How do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?

I definitely find that I communicate and connect with a lot more people when I choose to walk or bike. Being surrounded by the natural environment vs. being confined in a car helps me to relax and I then take the time to have conversation. My commute into downtown involves walking or biking through Lewis park along the Courtenay River. I find that people are often watching the wildlife there and in stopping to watch people also stop to talk; I wouldn't get that in a car. This always improves my mood and feeling of connection to my community.

You've certainly outlined the benefits of muscle transportation. I do like your emphasis on creating community. Thanks for sharing.
