With the virus preventing the ability to donate items, I want to research other alternatives to prevent myself from just throwing things away

Electricity Generation Learn More about Micro Wind
Micro turbines can be placed on large structures to take advantage of stronger, steadier breezes. The Eiffel Tower now sports vertical axis turbines that produce electricity for use on site. Where could micro turbines potentially be installed in your city?

    Noel Reich 6/01/2020 5:40 AM
After reading about mirco wind (https://energyeducation.ca/encyclopedia/Micro-wind_turbine) I realized that my high school used a vertical axis turbine to assist with onsite needs. It was located about a small greenhouse created by the science teachers. I am now curious about how much of an impact it has, especially considering how much wind the basin of Nevada gets

I started using Misfits Market to get organic vegetables that the stores deem unsellable. It is a great way to get delicious produce and stop wasting as much food

What did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?

    Noel Reich 5/01/2020 5:29 AM
I was most interested to learn that according to the UN, "As of 2016, 90% of urban dwellers have been breathing unsafe air, resulting in 4.2 million deaths due to ambient air pollution. More than half of the global urban population were exposed to air pollution levels at least 2.5 times higher than the safety standard."  Understanding global statistics can be very overwhelming but it obviously a necessary step to moving forward as a global community.

This weekend I found a way to repurpose some old frames and a cabinet door

  • Noel Reich 4/22/2020 5:52 AM
I got some facemasks from a local sustainability store and they are light and feel better against my face. I also replaced my bamboo toothbrush and cant wait to repurpose my old one for something!

  • Noel Reich 4/20/2020 5:53 AM
I have been trying to find places that make facemasks with sustainable materials and my local sustainability store was running a deal this weekend!

The rights movement/the political need that this movement has is interesting to compare with everything
