  • Reflection Question
Action Track: Justice for the Whole Community Improve a Bus Stop
How can you advocate for transportation systems which minimize environmental impact while also meeting human needs?

    Prisha Oza 8/25/2020 7:02 AM
Many people around the world don’t even have access to cars or buses which is why I think walking or biking to a place close by, meets human needs. I think we should focus on doing only what’s needed and instead of using a car to get to a place 10 minutes away from where we are, we should use either a bike or walk.
  • Reflection Question
Buildings and Cities Go for a Daily Walk
What have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?

    Prisha Oza 8/25/2020 6:47 AM
On my daily walks, I’ve noticed that during these times, a lot of people are taking the time to go outside and go biking or walking with family. This is great because we have started to use cars and other modes of transportation less which reduces the amount of pollution on the air.

Name some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?

    Prisha Oza 5/10/2020 2:36 PM
Our water resources face a host of serious threats, all of which are caused primarily by human activity. They include sedimentation, pollution, climate change, deforestation, landscape changes, and urban growth. Most water becomes polluted by human activities. These include: throwing sewage and industrial waste into rivers and oceans, using harmful fertilizers, and even littering. All of these human activities affect our water sources.
