  • Reflection Question
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Zero-waste Cooking
In North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for utilizing every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable, including the skins, tops, and stalks during your next meal prep?

Incorporating an entire vegetable in your next meal prep is nice. It is very healthy for you and it taste good. It also helps with not wasting food by having to cut things out to incorporate the vegetable(s).

Going on daily walks is honestly fun. Its nice to get outside and enjoy the nice weather. I usually go on walks with my dog so that's a bonus also. Something that could make my walks more enjoyable is walking more when I have a lot more "free" time so I could walk longer and not have any thoughts pop up in my head about HW or any other stresses.
  • Reflection Question
Action Track: Healing & Renewal Eat Mindfully
Mindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How does your eating experience differ when practicing mindfulness?

Having dinner without any distractions is very enjoyable. It is easier to interact with others and it is easier to be mindful of what you're eating and what you waste. Seeing the food that you waste and realizing that it is too much is very impactful in how you eat. It also is nice to see what it actually is that you're eating and how it makes you feel after.
  • Reflection Question

Eating more fruits and vegetables is really nice. It is cool to try and explore new fruits and vegetables that are awesome for your diet and are enjoyable foods. It also makes you feel better when adding more and more healthy foods into your meals.
