What have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?

    Ahlia Kitwana 5/17/2020 7:10 AM
I am committing to this for the rest of May.
  • Reflection Question
    Food Support Local Food Systems
Dependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these (or other) advantages inspire you the most?

    Ahlia Kitwana 5/17/2020 7:09 AM
We have started picking up our produce from local farmers
  • Reflection Question
Buildings and Cities Explore Other Buildings Solutions
What did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?

    Ahlia Kitwana 5/17/2020 7:08 AM

  • Reflection Question
Food Learn the Truth About Expiration Dates
How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

    Ahlia Kitwana 5/17/2020 7:07 AM
"Best by" and "Use by" are recommendations for freshness
"Sell by" is an arbitrary date set by store or producers
Each state comes up with its own expiration date rules and I should become familiar with ours.
  • Reflection Question
    Transport Conduct Virtual Meetings
How can you ensure that your virtual meetings honor your values and your company's culture?

    Ahlia Kitwana 4/24/2020 2:09 AM
Already doing this due to the pandemic.
  • Reflection Question
    Food Smart Seafood Choices
Many states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?

    Ahlia Kitwana 4/24/2020 2:08 AM
Heard about this app when we visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium in CA. Now we have it as a source to eat more responsibly.
  • Reflection Question
    Food Smaller Portions
While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

    Ahlia Kitwana 4/24/2020 2:07 AM
I intend to actually purchase smaller diameter plates.
